Born in Athens the 19th of July 1970. His love for light design was born in Theatro Technis of Karolos Koun where his father worked as electrician. He has studied director of photography and participated the Short Film Festival at Drama in 1996. Nevertheless he has chosen a professional career in theater as light designer. He was assistant of Eleytheria Deko – winner of Grammy award for Light Design – during the period 1997 -2001. Also he has collaborated with the cinematographist and light designer Andreas Belis. From 2001 he works for the Athens Concert Hall. He focuses in collaborations with theater and dance companies as light designer for their productions. He has designed or worked as the assistant designer of the lightening of 110 productions in both fields (dance and theater). In his spare time he manufactures light installations, does scuba diving and hiking. He claims that the observation of nature and the change of light due to change of season as well as the renaissance painters are his source of inspiration and the basis of his work.
